At the age of 16, Bobby White embarked upon his jewellery career at London Guildhall where he enrolled on a City and Guilds course in fine jewellery making. The year spent at university allowed Bobby to build a solid foundation of core skills, including traditional techniques used by master crafts-people that have been handed down over hundreds of years. Throughout the course, Bobby paid particular attention to mounting and handcrafting pieces of intricate jewellery in gold or platinum. He was also taught skills for setting, enamelling, engraving, chasing, polishing and finishing. Bobby graduated from London Guildhall with a City and Guilds in Fine Jewellery making in 2000. He graduated with the highest honours in the class.

Bobby then begins his apprenticeship in fine jewellery making under a master craftsman, within the world famous London jewellery quarter of Hatton Garden. Hatton Garden has been the centre of the London jewellery trade since medieval times and the birthplace of many of the world's best known jewellers.

Over the next five years as an apprentice, Bobby polished his skills as a high level diamond-mounter, creating beautiful bespoke pieces to the highest standards of English craftsmanship in a traditional workshop.

Fine jewellery making was not just a job to Bobby, but a true passion. Six years of intense training under the invaluable tutelage of his esteemed teachers, coupled with his talent, drive, passion and ambition set him up with exactly the right foundation and skills to push himself to become one of the finest contemporary jewellery craftsmen of today.

Every item of fine jewellery by Bobby White is made exclusively by hand from his workshop in London, England. No piece leaves the workshop unless it reaches the high expectations of a craftsman that is built from thousands of years of English jewellery tradition.
